Introduction

The successful candidate will provide business consulting and support to Franchisees and maintain positive relationships in assigned markets to firmly establish a position of leadership and influence within the territory.  The Territory Manager works closely with Master Mechanic Franchise owners and staff to motivate, provide guidance, ensure operational objectives, store financial performance, and industry leading customer service. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations & Training.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Driving the growth of sales through the Master Mechanic franchise network.
  • Positively impact the profitability of Master Mechanic by coaching franchisees to meet their targets and growth opportunities.
  • Foster a well-trained and motivated Franchise Network, committed to delivering the Master Mechanic’s vision and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong, effective franchise relationships through a culture of integrity and performance management. Provide support to Franchisee’s to ensure satisfaction of brand partnership.
  • Provide support and coaching in all areas of the business (P&L, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Staffing, Purchasing)
  • Ensure Franchisees utilize Master Mechanic approved vendor network.
  • Participate in new Franchisee training and onboarding.
  • Maintain meaningful and frequent communication with the franchises utilizing telephone, email, internet forums, and face to face meetings.
  • Monitor business activities and provide proactive solutions to current and future challenges in all areas of business.
  • Participate and promote on-line and instructor led training programs utilized by Master Mechanic.
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of reports and forecasts on franchisee performance as required.

Qualifications:

  • A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are required.
  • Extensive experience with auto shop software management systems.
  • 2-7 years of multi-unit (franchise/chain) operations experience in the automotive repair industry.
  • Knowledge of auto shop operations, marketing, and training.
  • Ability to establish credibility, subject matter expertise and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Influence, negotiate and build consensus with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of and skill in, using application software in Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet functionality.

Work Environment:

  • This is remote / field position that requires traveling within the assigned Territory up to 75% of the time.
