Summary of the Job:
The Senior Manager, Dealer Groups will be responsible for leading a team of strategic Account Directors focused on building partnerships with large automotive Dealer Groups at an Ownership/Senior Executive level within the Ontario region.   This role will oversee and provide guidance on product offerings and programs being presented in order to maximize quality and revenue. In addition, the Senior Sales Manager will actively participate in Dealer Group performance reviews and discovery meetings alongside the Ontario Account Director channel.  The Senior Manager will lead the organization’s Dealer Group strategy within Ontario ensuring account penetration and achievement to revenue targets; fostering an environment of high performance and drive for overachievement supporting in the delivery of successful results.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute Channel vision, strategies and initiatives to support the achievement of all assigned team targets through profitable and sustainable revenue growth across the Dealer Group Channel.
  • Continuously work to enhance the Dealer Group experience by identifying opportunities for improvements in service and satisfaction levels; and dealing with customer escalations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Clearly communicates and monitors workflow expectations to team members to facilitate the timely and accurate reporting of all assigned revenues. This is accomplished through the optimization of all resources and ensuring the effective utilization of our CRM tool (Salesforce).
  • Conduct regular coaching and mentoring of team members to support achievement of all revenue targets and ensure the Organization’s Value Proposition and Way of Selling are effectively communicated to customers. Through these techniques, opportunities for improvement will be identified and action will take place through individualized development plans.
  • Firm knowledge of the sales team’s weekly metrics; providing ongoing support to the team in order to bridge revenue/customer gaps. Build action plans to achieve success and report progress to upper management on an on-going basis.
  • Build productive cross functional relationships across departments and leadership levels.
  • Lead by example and create an environment within the team that rewards and recognizes the demonstration of the Organization’s core values in day-to-day operation of the business.

  • Highly analytical and metrics focused; ability to synthesize through detail.

Required Experience:

  • 5-7 years’ in sales management; has built, led and coached a high performing sales team.
  • Previous experience working within the automotive industry.
  • Degree in marketing, commerce or business administration or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting a strategic direction and executing a supporting plan.
  • Strong record of success in meeting and exceeding personal and team sales goals.
  • History of building strong, collaborative relationships across departments and leadership levels.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the latest trends in digital marketing, from advertising or media, or, from a technology solutions-selling environment.
