Position: Sales Distribution & Port Logistics Specialist
Reports to: Director of Sales

Position Objective:
The Distribution & Port Logistics Contractor will work for 18 months to accurately maintain critical Porsche databases related to new vehicle allocation as well as product information & pricing, provide critical support to optimize vehicle option penetration, and provide onsite Halifax port presence during critical peak periods within prescribed legal guidelines and Porsche AG (PAG) requirements. Focus on all business areas that will result in direct new volume impact.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Maintain standard new vehicle allocation approach & manage data/tools used to distribute and track all production and pool distribution via order demands/business plan share/12-month rolling share of nation
• Track and audit order demands in Porsche Vehicle Management System
• Provide product planning support including option take rates analysis, assists in determining option budgets and monitoring/reporting on performance
• Creation and tracking of reports for Sales Operations (Customer Specified Vehicle rates, delivery dates, option revenue, option take rates, order intake, etc.) with subsequent escalation of counter-measures
• Identify trends monthly to proactively support field teams in addressing deficiencies
• Provide analysis & formal reporting as preparation for Regional Sales Managers to identify national trends
• Onsite support at Halifax port of entry as required during peak wholesale months; ability to assist where feasible port actions (software);triage & manage during extraordinary weather conditions as experienced in winter 2015
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree, automotive degree or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred.
Experience:
• 2+ years’ experience in the areas of automotive wholesale Sales, Planning, Reporting and/or Forecasting.
• Retail automotive experience a plus.
• Parts and service background a plus.
Skills:
• High level of written, oral communication/presentation and sales forecasting skills.
• Strong analytical skills
• Superior computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes).
• Ability to effectively negotiate or mediate difficult situations.
• Ability to manage in a team environment in order to maximize performance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues as well as company executives.
• Ability to manage multiple high visibility projects simultaneously.
• German and/or French language skills desirable.
