Job Summary:

The RPM Manager is responsible for development, rollout, measurement and results of all retail coaching performance improvement programs across Canada in the areas of New Vehicle Sales, Pre-owned Sales, CSI and Business Management. These programs are developed and rolled-out in close collaboration with head office in Germany. Additionally, the RPM Manager is responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of the Strengthening Retail process for reviewing retail performance and monitoring of improvement action plans as defined by the Regions

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • As a key customer of the KPI (Key Performance Indicator) Cockpit, ensure the appropriate KPI’s to monitor performance are available, accurate and reviewed regularly
  • Meet regularly with the Regional Team and Sales/Aftersales functions to discuss retailer performance
  • Annual budget planning and negotiation with management to secure funds for future programs
  • Source, prepare contracts and train expert RPM Coaches to deliver the RPM programs in their field
  • Prepare and implement a timely and effective rollout plan, effectively maximizing resources
  • Manage the performance and deliverables of RPM Coaches
  • Timely reporting of progress of all programs at retailer and National level
  • Monitor program effectiveness with a focus on Continuous improvement
  • Collect and share internationally, BMW’s unique coaching approaches and best practices
  • Maintain and improve the Canadian tools/process on the RPM Online Portal
  • Hold regular discussions with retailers and conduct official annual survey for Retailer Satisfaction
  • Work with BMW University to ensure coaching programs and training programs are aligned
  • Attend Regional, National and International meetings and conferences as appropriate
  • Ensure development and improvement of the Strengthening Retail ‘Dealer Review’ template
  • Coordinate and prepare all attending associates for the annual Strengthening Review retailer review board, along with all the internal reviews
  • Monitor the usage and ongoing development of the Dealer Action tool for managing retailer action

Qualifications:

  • University degree or college diploma in related field; or equivalent
  • Coaching qualification/experience
  • Project management qualification/experience
  • Automotive retail experience and strong understanding – ideally in premium segment
  • Proven change management ability
  • Excellent communication skills. French would be an asset
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to network and influence at all levels – including Retailer Principal/Owner
  • Understanding of retailer key performance and financial data
  • Excellent organizations skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever changing work intensive environment
