Position Objective:
Porsche Cars Canada is expanding its vehicle portfolio to include Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV). These cars will address market opportunities and future regulatory requirements. Bringing these vehicles to market requires a new E-Performance knowledge base in the After Sales organization at Porsche Cars Canada Ltd.

Being part of the new knowledge base the E-Performance and High Voltage Battery Repair Program Manager will develop, implement and manage a mobile High Voltage Expert (HVE) Repair Concept for mobile Li-Ion Batteries. This includes the performance and coordination of defective Li-Ion Batteries repairs and improvement of the battery warranty process.

As a second part of the knowledge hub, the E-Performance and High Voltage Battery Repair Program Manager will also be the After Sales point of contact for current and in future upcoming Porsche E-Mobility and Porsche Connect topics.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Development and implementation of a mobile High Voltage Expert (HVE) Repair Concept
• Supervise and manage the new HVE concept for the Canadian market
• Providing and coordinating mobile repair for Li-Ion batteries by exchanging defective battery cell-modules
• Responsible to participate in PCL and PAG PHEV / BEV training courses to assure and maintain the highest level of Porsche product knowledge
• Assist dealers and PCL personnel in difficult PHEV and BEV technical matters
• Field testing of power electronic systems/ high voltage battery
• Ensuring a properly documentation of the repair process
• Responsible for early recognition of product issues in the field and ensure technical support
• Review PHEV and BEV technical bulletins, Workshop manuals, etc. for modifications and edits to ensure correct diagnosis and repair procedures
• After Sales knowledge hub for current and upcoming Porsche E-Mobility and Connect topics such as PHEVs, BEVs, Porsche Car Connect, Porsche Connect and Connect Plus

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor or College degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Advanced electrical and mechanical technical skill set
• Strong understanding of power electronics topologies
• Completed Automotive Technician preferred

Experience:

• 5 + years of relevant hands-on hardware experience on high voltage batteries, Porsche technical experience preferred
• Hands-on experience with high voltage systems
• Experience with 600-850 VDC power electronic systems
• Field testing of high voltage batteries
• French language knowledge preferred

Skills and Competencies:

• English fluently (oral and written). French and German preferred.
• Excellent overall understanding of high voltage automotive systems and repair, Porsche preferred.
• Ability to quickly understand newly emerging technologies
• Ability to communicate, both written and orally, to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, spelling, grammar and composition skills.
