Job Summary:
Our client, DEFA North America Inc. is the world leader in car heating and alarm systems. This position is responsible for developing the auto channel in Western Canada. The candidate will be expected to achieve the annual sales volume and technical support activities of DEFA solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the development of new sales activity and marketing plans through the franchise car dealer market within your specific territory.
- Responsible for accurate forecasting within your territory, including that for annual planning
- Responsible for managing your territory, in a professional fashion, and for achieving your annual business plan.
- Responsible for sales towards targeted customers according to the defined DEFA sales Process encompassing:
- Work and build relationships with stakeholders
- Evaluate projects (target, potential, determining probability to succeed)
- Prepare and follow-up tenders and defined business opportunities
- Ensure CRM system is updated with offer/projects and customer information
- Ensure follow-up of all projects to secure closing of deals with customers
- Support customers
- Collect competitive information.
- Support, participate and initiation of marketing campaigns and marketing materials needed to reach budget short and long term.
- Responsible for sales information and follow-up of car dealers and other targeted customers.
- Promote actual and future DEFA products through the assigned dealer network.
- Educate the assigned dealer network through sales/marketing seminars.
- Team work with the Canadian sales and support team
Job Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years direct selling experience, (auto channel experience essential).
- A bachelor’s degree in sales & marketing is an advantage.
- Must possess excellent communication skills including the ability to make effective presentations.
- Strong ability and interest in understanding the technical parts of the products.
- Should be able to answer questions directly with regards to functionality and installation.
- Must possess efficient time management skills.
- Must be a self-motivator, ambitious, high energy individual.
- Outgoing, ability to work independently, strong ability to build relationships and work closely with customers.
- Create trust
- Ability to work well in an international business environment and diversified culture
- Must have a ‘hunter’ style approach to selling.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required, as determined by your manager.
