Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for leading the Automotive Finance and Indirect Lending Auto Manufacturer Program Sales & Support Team to grow revenues, profitability, market share and competitiveness of the Auto manufacturer Retail Lease and Loan business – Fixed, Variable and Personal Banking. The incumbent will plan and execute a product strategy roadmap for this business unit. In addition, the incumbent will direct ongoing market analysis and identification of new Auto Manufacturer Retail Lease Loan program/product planning and development and marketing. Another key component will be to participate in the development of systems for effective resolution of client issues and pro-active identification of opportunities related to the client accounts. This role will include maintaining and developing client relationships, direct program and product launches and changes with the operational support of the Program Support & Project teams.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in product management or client relationship management
  • Strong skills in relationship management in negotiating and selling to clients – middle and upper management
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written
  • Strong background in market research, product planning and product development
  • Creative thinker in developing product features and new markets – selling and planning product changes
  • Proven managerial, supervisory, coaching and negotiation skills
  • Good understanding of the changing direction of the technology environment
  • Automotive knowledge of the competitive development and new product programs with the OEM market sector
  • Strong knowledge of the non-manufacturer automotive industry in Canada and the United States

Education:

  • A post-secondary educational background in marketing or business management is mandatory
  • A graduate University business degree is strongly preferred
