Introduction

The Vendor Management Specialist owns the creation, maintenance, and building of strategic value centric relationships within Donlen’s vendor network. The incumbent possesses strong skills in relationship management, data analytics, problem solving, and project management. The role is key to contributing towards strengthening Donlen’s vendor network, enhancing revenue streams, ensuring data integrity, and identifying efficient value add opportunities. The ideal candidate can adapt well to a nimble, action oriented culture, and as a technology leader in the fleet industry, we are seeking candidates who embrace working in a technology-driven environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Processing activities relating to vendor enrollment, data integrity and IRS compliance.
  • Database administration relating to all stages of relationship with vendor.
  • Provide point of contact for Maintenance Department staff in locating appropriate vendors, vendor relationship opportunities and clarification of maintenance related service(s).
  • Monitor, advise and support training efforts of maintenance advisors in data integrity of independent vendor database.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with maintenance vendors emphasizing Donlens’ client utilization of maintenance vendors; resulting in their growth/income potential and multiple processing efficiencies.
  • Negotiate, document and implement vendor agreements.
  • Manage internal CRM system (CARE) issues pertaining to maintenance vendor issues to include tracking to completion.
  • Monitor CARE with a focus on identifying root causes, trends/patterns that indicate a process improvement opportunity.
  • Support Vendor Network Manager and serve as their substitute when necessary, including representing Donlen to clients, intervening in issues as necessary and supporting sales efforts as required.
  • Work as a team with Vendor Management and Maintenance Department to maintain clients value perception and ensure Donlen’s competitiveness.
  • Keep Vendor Management informed of critical client issues and work to resolve those issues.

  • Proven knowledge of competitive sourcing third party supply/vendor management including contract negotiations and service standard
