Job Profile:
The Credit/Funding Manager is responsible for management and supervision of a group of credit analysts and dealer support coordinators. The Credit/Funding Manager ensures that all aspects of credit and funding departments operate in a smooth and efficient manner. The Credit/Funding Manager is responsible for ensuring that dealer satisfaction requirements are met balanced with meeting corporate financial return objectives and loan volume expectations. Internal service level requirements are the responsibility of this individual.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for management of the credit and funding departments including recruitment, training and day-to-day supervision.
• Reviews credit applications that exceed the credit limits of direct reports for adherence to credit policies and guidelines.
• Ensures that all credit applications are decisioned within company established time objectives and within the assigned credit authority limits of the credit staff.
• Conducts discussions with dealer customers and dealer relationship managers regarding credit decisions that are elevated to the Credit/Funding Manager level.
• Responsible for negotiating credit decisions with dealers to ensure that decisions questioned or challenged are reviewed, reconsidered and are re-decisioned when it is appropriate.
• Provides training and coaching support to credit/funding departments through regular performance management reviews and daily coaching of credit skills.
• Ensures that funding process is managed to ensure that dealers are funded promptly and documentations quality is maintained to company standards.
• Conducts audits of the performance of the branch credit functions against internal credit control guidelines.
• Designs and prepares credit reporting as required.
