Job Summary:

The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for managing, growing and maintaining the effective and profitable operations of the sales department. Responsible for sustaining the operational efficiency and flow of the department with the day-to-day operations by executing short-term planning to ensure profitable growth and customer retention.

Create & maintain a team environment throughout the facility, promoting a culture of cooperation and collaboration with responsibility to achieve common goals & objectives

Maintains a positive & ethical working relationship with all employees, manufacturers, vendors & customers

Duties & Responsibilities:

Customer Service

  • Ensure customer satisfaction both New and Existing customer base
  • Troubleshoot daily challenges & remedy any issues in a timely manner

Sales Team Management

  • Provide direction & instruction for sales consultants throughout the sales process
  • Assist with sales transactions – balancing the needs of the customers, sales consultants & Xtreme Tire Garage
  • Maintain active involvement in all sales inquiries and the execution of effective sales practices including personal interaction with clients & staff
  • Provides guidance, support & motivation to ensure direct reports are maximizing their ability & growth potential
  • Assist in training, coaching, development & motivation of the sales team with a focus of setting individual goals & achieving monthly sales targets
  • Implement performance management & disciplinary action as necessary
  • Gather and re-distribute Sales Leads to the sales team for follow-up and tracking.
  • Establish weekly/monthly job routines during peak and off peak time to establish customer retention, cold calls & prospecting
  • Conduct Annual Performance Reviews for direct reports

Operations

  • Oversee and coordinate the scheduling of the Sales Team
  • Conduct weekly Sales Meetings – Review targets, sales initiatives, best practices and any open issues.
  • Oversee and maintain adequate Inventory
  • Ensure the Brand / Image of XTG is executed and maintained including but not limited to fellow associates, facilities (showroom, etc.).
  • Work jointly with the Director, Sales & Operations & the President to establish annual, quarterly, monthly & weekly sales targets
    • Provide Upper Management with

    • status updates on targets and sales initiatives, and recommend any adjustments;
    • discuss opportunities to improve profit margins;
    • provide observations on current processes / procedures and any potential improvements (XOP)
    • Assist in recruiting

Individually

  • Maintain sales / management skills and industry knowledge with the training recommended by Xtreme Tire Garage & Industry Partners

Experience & Education:

  • High School Diploma & relevant College diploma or Minimum 5 years Automotive / Tire Shop Management Experience
  • Automotive Retail Sales Management Experience Preferred
  • Exceptional Leadership and Sales skills with a proven track record in Customer Service
  • Ability to lead a team with various sales experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer Skills and Competency an asset
  • Good conversational telephone skills
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record
