With over 150 employees and growing, The Lakeridge Premium Auto Gallery is looking to hire a full time HR Manager.

As an integral part of the Lakeridge Premium Auto Gallery, the HR Manager will be responsible for the strategy, planning and delivery of all people initiatives across their dealership group.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide full-cycle recruitment including creating sourcing strategies; attracting a quality pool of candidates; screening, interviewing candidates and presenting potential candidates to hiring managers
  • Onboard new employees by making offers of employment, negotiate salaries, company orientation, provide exit interviews and ensure the success of the employee once they enter into the company
  • Support managers and staff with the full-cycle annual performance management, ensuring consistent application and processes across teams, documentation is up to date, and systems and resources are achieving company goals
  • Collaborate with managers and teams to ensure a positive and great working atmosphere within the dealer group; maintain a healthy employee engagement and workplace
  • Build and maintain a strong, positive and rewarding relationship with employees and the organization, provide guidance and advisement regarding HR issues, health and safety, AODA, diversity and equal opportunities, and balancing the needs of the employees and the company
  • Develop and maintain sustainable HR processes and procedures
  • Create candidate pipelines for current and future recruitment needs
  • Work closely with various Business Partners and managers to understand workplace needs
  • Support and develop the overall recruitment strategy programs
  • Other duties as required

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree required or diploma required; specialization in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related discipline preferred
  • A Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) or Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE) designation in good standing, an asset
  • Progressive growth in various HR roles and a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HR Manager or in a similar role
  • Experience in the automotive dealership industry, preferred
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and demands
  • Demonstrated effective strategic planning and HR organization skills
  • A proven record of effective HR and project management
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • A strategic and creative thinker, planner, influencer, and negotiator
  • An effective communicator, both written and verbal, for a diverse range of audiences
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Comfortable with technology and software programs
