Position

Based out of a new office facility planned in the Hwy 427/401/QEW corridor, we are seeking an experienced IT Director to assist in the set-up and provide ongoing oversight of the information technology and computer systems as the organization develops and expands into this new market.

Key Responsibilities

As the leader of the IT department, your responsibilities will include: planning, organizing, controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations; assisting with the implementation of various software solutions including those developed and/or sourced by the parent company; identifying required modifications to bring software & systems in compliance with applicable rules, regulations and industry practices; running regular checks on network access, data security and backup systems; designing, developing and implementing IT policies, procedures and best practices; preparing, managing and reporting on annual IT budgets; providing direction for IT team members by training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising performance.

Qualifications / Required Skills

You have 5+ years of experience as an IT Manager with in-depth knowledge of information technology, computer systems, networks and data security. You are a team player with the proven ability to manage, prioritize and oversee large projects within stipulated timeframes and budgets.  Ideally, you have some experience in the automotive sector and are known to be a consummate professional with the highest levels of accountability, integrity and commitment.

Candidates with an energetic, entrepreneurial spirit who are willing to go the extra mile and beyond the scope of their formal responsibilities will be most attracted to this role.  As a newly established business in a very exciting and dynamic segment, there will be many opportunities to expand your responsibilities, your ways of thinking and perhaps even challenge yourself beyond your ‘normal’ comfort zone.
