Our client, VinFast Auto Canada Inc., is in the early stages of executing their ambitious growth plans in Canada with a ‘Direct-to-Consumer’ business model and an aggressive retail and aftersales facility expansion over the next 12 months.

We are currently seeking a Marketing & Communications Director that will have overall responsibility of all marketing functions.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager of Marketing & Communications will have overall responsibility and accountability for all marketing functions of VinFast Canada including but not limited to:

  • Develop and launch brand & marketing strategies and plans across channels to build brand awareness and interest, and to enable VinFast to achieve business targets in Canada.
  • Work with Marketing team of home country to ensure compliance with VinFast’s global brand strategy and to leverage global marketing initiatives.
  • Create a CRM strategy to harvest potential customers and future them until cars can be purchased and delivered.
  • Work closely with the online sales team to implement successful roll out of vehicle reservation program to drive sales.
  • Create and execute comprehensive event calendar across multiple provinces, including both lead generation events and test drive events.
  • Develop in-store programs and campaigns to engage existing leads and create new leads.
  • Responsible for organizing large scale events e.g., auto shows, product launches and store grand openings.
  • Responsible for establishing global and local brand partnerships to execute communication plans in the Canadian market.
  • Managing external agencies and vendors for research, creative, strategy functions, as well as experiential, communication, and PR.
  • Define and implement a national advertising strategy with our paid media agency
  • Other duties as required.


  • Minimum 10 years marketing, advertising, or communications experience (automotive preferred)
  • Strong performance history of launching brands for global companies including all forms of marketing and media planning
  • Experience in building comprehensive marketing plans, managing experiential events and agency partners
  • Ad & Marketing agency experience valuable (client or agency side)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications. Graduate degrees as an advantage.

  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment.
  • Recognizes cultural and work style differences and can adjust approach to meet the needs of such work environments.
