Position

The HR Programs Manager will serve in a dynamic role executing functional responsibilities for the assigned business group, as well as have accountability for driving talent development and organizational effectiveness processes. In this role, the HR Programs Manager is responsible for helping meet divisional and corporate objectives by providing HR leadership and support to client groups, enhancing organizational effectiveness, leading the Inclusive & Diversity (I&D) initiatives, and driving talent management processes.

Key Responsibilities

As an important member of the Eaton Human Resources team, your key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Work with the division leadership, functional leaders and managers to drive and align human resources programs and initiatives with key business and employee engagement objectives.
  • Collaborate with peers and client groups to drive key human resources functions including workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, performance management and training.
  • Build organizational capability through leadership of talent management processes; talent acquisition, organizational capability assessment, promotions, performance management, and employee training & development.
  • Provide guidance for change management initiatives.
  • Develop, optimize, document and standardize sustainable processes, sharing best practices across the division.
  • Cultivate strategic thought leadership in the development of scalable Inclusion and Diversity programs. Champion the Inclusion and Diversity agenda, prioritizing diversity of thought across the organization and integrating such programs into the broader people strategy.
  • Develop and implement solutions to organizational challenges by leading/coaching others through change.
  • Establish and maintain metrics to assess the efficiency of the workforce and talent management process. Utilize scenario and predictive analytics to demonstrate impact of workforce planning and actions.
  • Lead University Relations programs including the Leadership Development Program. Advance relationships with local universities and colleges to increase opportunities to grow talent pipeline.
  • Develop and monitor project plans, track and follow-up on risks, accurately report progress against milestones to keep initiatives on schedule.
  • Serve as a liaison and knowledge manager regarding HR policy, legal matters and employment standards legislation.
  • Proactively prepare and present regular and ad-hoc workforce reports, incorporating key metrics such as: headcount, hiring, and attrition, to support strategic initiatives.
  • Support other HR projects and objectives as required.

Qualifications

We are looking for energetic and creative problem-solvers who know how to put their customers first. If the following characteristics describe you, we would love to hear from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Solid knowledge of talent management, process improvement, change management metrics and analytics.
  • Excellent time and project management skills with proven organizational and multi-tasking proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, written, presentation preparation and delivery).
  • Ability to establish rapport and maintain high level of confidence and integrity at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in HR metrics and data management to drive solutions.
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution .
  • CHRP or CHRL certification.
