Position: Manager Pricing & Inventory Reports to: Vice President Purchasing Company: Bestbuy Distributors Limited Location: Mississauga, ON Date Posted: May 2018 Job Profile: Bestbuy Distributors Limited requires a dedicated individual to join the Purchasing Department team, with a primary focus on pricing and analysis for both Distribution Center and Drop Ship Vendor programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of all aspects of these pricing programs, as well as the various systems focused around Inventory such as Data Solutions, Pricedex and database management. Bestbuy requires an individual to lead in seeking out new markets and categories to support our strategic initiatives and overall corporate growth. This individual will work closely with management to identify new opportunities and trends in order to continue improving and expanding our business into existing and new markets. As a senior member of the Purchasing Department, reporting directly to the Vice President, Purchasing, it will be a requirement for you to work in a fast paced team environment and have the ability to work comfortably under minimal supervision. Job Responsibilities:
  • Performing necessary analysis of all vendor programs and agreements
  • Required management of pricing
  • Data management and reporting
  • Updating of all current and future program details including contacts
  • Updating of required information in Bestbuy database
  • Communication of Program details to Bestbuy Membership
Pricing Technology & Tools:
  • Maintaining and scheduled updating of “Schedule B” pricing
  • Maintaining of Landed Cost Factor file (LCF)
  • Pricing Portal – updating and maintenance
  • Data Solutions – usage and training
  • Best Info – data management
  • Annual Commodity and Tool & Equipment Catalogues
  • System file management
  • EDI management (G Commerce)
  • Significant contribution to the senior management group
  • Other Purchasing Department Duties that may be deemed necessary
Skills & Experience:
  • A Post-Secondary Education and a minimum equivalency of 5 years Automotive Aftermarket experience
  • Excellent analytical skills in both Access and Excel
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
