Our client, VinFast Auto Canada Inc., is in the early stages of executing their ambitious growth plans in Canada with a ‘Direct-to-Consumer’ business model and an aggressive retail and aftersales facility expansion over the next 12 months.

Position

We are currently seeking a Head of EV Services, that will have overall responsibility and accountability to lead the end-to-end vehicle recharging strategy including logistics, home, public, fleet, & branded VinFast network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment, leadership, direction, and management of the Canadian EV Services team.
  • Development of market readiness plan to ensure smooth VinFast launch.
  • Establishment of service center and mobile service strategy including design, tooling, standards, visual management, and staffing.
  • Ongoing interaction/communications with the VinFast executive team to collaborate on various operational activities, goals, and objectives.
  • Establishment and ongoing development of relationships with Canadian senior management, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Management and forecasting of budget involved with EV Services Department
  • Input/Advice on long-term business and financial planning.
  • Maintaining of proper capital flows to fund the business’s key strategic initiatives.

Key Activities: First 3 – 6 Months

  • Establish Roadside Service requirements, process, training, operations, & partners to support successful vehicle launch. initiatives.
  • Ensure VinFast telematics enables operational leverage through remote diagnostics, OTA updates, immediate assistance, & building the operational excellence behind those.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of building direct service models involving internal operations and external partners that deliver great user experience with at least 3 – 5 years working in a leadership role.
  • Global, ex-pat, start-up, and/or direct experience in the automotive/EV space preferred but not necessary. Prefer background with companies known for best practices.
  • Experience working across a global organization with cross-functional teams whose resources are in multiple time zones.
  • Deep technical knowledge of vehicle architecture and experience establishing requirements, building process, and coaching teams to stretch goals.
  • Proven track record of success in effectively leveraging external capital resources.
  • Leadership experience implementing internal controls and maintaining full regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power point, project management).
  • Bachelor’s degree. Applicable advanced degree(s) preferred.
